Ghana’s number one authoritative Sports Station, Happy 98.9FM has launched one of its 2020 substantial corporate social responsibility activity, Happy FM Mass Wedding in Accra.

The Mass Wedding’ is in bid to fulfil the dream of many would-be couples to experience an unforgettable wedding ceremony. The all-expense paid wedding ceremony is a community investment event which seeks to help couples yearning to bless their marriage or get married by taking on the responsibility of organizing the event and providing all the necessary resources needed. This is done to encourage couples preparing to get married to invest their time and money into their lives after the wedding.

CEO of Global Media Alliance, Mr. Ernest Boateng speaking after the launch said, “Weddings are sponsored events, it is not all about the couples getting married. Your family members pitch in one way or the other and that is the key to every wedding. In this case, Happy FM is standing in for your family. You being a part of the Mass Wedding does not mean you cannot afford a wedding. But it affords you the opportunity to put your money to use in other equally important areas after your marriage. It is a beautiful process.”

Commenting on the activity, Programmes Manager of Happy FM, Mr. Emmanuel Akrumah explained that, “The idea is to support thirty (30) couples get married in the most relaxed manner and not go through the stress that is usually associated with wedding preparations. There is a perception out there that such weddings are for poor people which is wrong, but has rather attracted different classes of people in the country. Pastors should not hinder their church members from taking part in this great initiative. They should rather be excited they want to get married. It is a tried and tested process which is also highly credible.”

As part of processes to participate in the Mass Wedding, would be couples are required to pick up forms at the front desks of any Global Media Alliance Broadcasting Corporation branch (Happy FM, e .TV Ghana at Asylum Down or YFM, Accra Mall) at a fee.
