SWAG Decides: Happy FM’s Ohene Brenya Bampoe declares intent to contest

Host of ‘Anopa Busuo’ on Happy FM, Ohene Brenya Bampoe has declared his intention of contesting for one of two slots available for Executive Members of Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG).

Brenya is contesting Moses Antwi Benefo, Otuo Acheampong B.B and Helga Gokah for the two slots as Executive Members.

The SWAG elections, slated for October 5th, 2019, has it that all members of the association in good standing are eligible to vote.

Ohene Brenya Bampoe, who spearheaded ‘Nkonta Buo’ an anti-corruption and accountability drive in Ghana sports on Happy FM with collaboration Star Ghana, says he has a simple message of service.

‘’I am here to serve’’ he said.

Programme Manager of Happy FM, Mr. Emmanuel Akrumah on his part congratulated Ohene Brenya Bampoe for not being a bystander but actively seeking to participate in the change he advocates for in sports.

‘’On behalf of Happy FM, I would like to congratulate Brenya and wish him the best of luck in the upcoming elections. I would entreat all the eligible voters to vote for Brenya to become an Executive Member of SWAG’’ Mr. Akrumah stated.

The SWAG Executives serve a four-year term and are eligible for two terms. The voting will be done online.
