Ghana’s leading radio brand, Happy98.9FM has shared joy amongst the country’s children with its maiden Santa Happy initiative.

The Santa Happy initiative is the brand’s way of sharing the Christmas cheer and joy with Ghana’s young children.

The initiative which saw children between the ages of 6-12 years sending in their Christmas wish list to Santa Happy, was climaxed today with a presentation of gift items to the children at Happy98.9FM’s premises at Asylum Down.

The gift items include school bags, learning tablets, school materials, play doughs, bicycles, badminton sets, skateboards and a television set. These gifts items were proudly sponsored by Palace Mall, Toys and More, Lala Land and Kidsville.

The most touching gift, a television set was given to young Owusu Peprah who came all the way from Kade in the Eastern Region to receive his gift. In his request, he shared his family had no television set and had to resort to peeping through windows of friends and neighbors to access educational and edutainment content. The visibly elated Owusu Peprah thanked Happy98.9FM for the gift and pledge to make use of the resource for his educational advancement.

Santa Happy in the person of Happy98.9FM’s Mac Paradise Okocha shared his joy in being able to present the children with these gifts and pledged this annual initiative will keep getting better and bigger.

He expressed appreciation to all sponsors of the Santa Happy initiative which helped the kids to realize their dreams this Christmas, urging all to show love to their neighbors in this season of love and giving.
