Former Eleven Wonders Coach,Yaw Acheamong, has advised the players the Black Stars to be psychologically prepared for the World Cup in Qatar.

According to him, some countries have lost certain key players ahead of the World Cup due to injuries hence, the country’s only hope is that, players are careful and prepare adequately to be ready for the tournament.

“Some countries are starting to loose players due to injuries. Because of the World Cup, some players in their league matches are not involving themselves as much so that they do not get injured.

“Unfortunately in football, no one knows when injuries might occur so our only hope is start we are able to assemble players who might be ready for the World Cup”. He told Ohene Bampoe Brenya host of the Happy Sports Dialogue On Happy FM.

He further added that with the right support, he is positive the Black Stars can bring smiles on the faces of Ghanaians.

“If we all come together to support the Black Stars, I believe they can give us what we are expecting from them.

“The technical Team, I’m sure is also putting things in place so we can be ready for the tournament ”. He added.

Ghana goes into the competition as the least-ranked team in the Qatar 2022 tournament.

The Black Stars will face a familiar opposition in the Uruguayans,Portugal and South Korea in Group H playing its first game against Portugal on November 24, 2022.

The 2022 World Cup tournament kicks off on November 20,2022 and will be live on e.TV Ghana and Happy 98.9FM.
