CAF Women’s Champions League Q: Hasaacas Ladies beat River Angels 3-1 to clinch title

West Africa Football Union Zone B Champions, Hasaacas Ladies, have arrived in Cairo, Monday 1st of November 2021. as they embark on a journey to conquer Africa at the maiden edition of the CAF Women’s Champions league.

Expectations are high because the Hasmal Ladies go into this competition as treble winners, Hasaacas won a record domestic double and were crowned champions of WAFU B after beating Rivers Angel of Nigeria 3 goals to 1 in the finals.

The team arrived at the Cairo international airport by Egypt Air about 9pm and was led the CEO Mrs Evelyn Nsiah Asare and decorated Coach, Ussifi Basigi and 23 players including Captain and Black Queens defender Janet Agyir, Doris Boaduwaa, Milot Pokua and newcomers Patricia Mantey and Fatoumata Tamboura from Burkina Faso.

The trip was made possible by kind courtesy of The Ministry of Youth and Sports, National Lottery Authority, Ghana Maritime Authority, Ghana Tourism Authority, Ghana Gas, Lexta Ghana Limited, Ghana Football Association and GNPC.

Hasaacas Ladies come up against Malabo Kings from Equatorial Guinea at the 30 June stadium On Friday 5th of November 2021.
