Hasaacas Ladies FC beat Ampem Darkoa Ladies to win women’s FA Cup

Hasaacas Ladies FC beat Ampem Darkoa Ladies 2-0 at the Accra Sports Stadium to lift the 2020/21 Ghana Women’s FA Cup trophy for the first time since the introduction of the competition in 2016.

Two first half goals from Doris Boaduwaa and Milot Pokuaa were enough to help the “Hasmal “ Ladies win double this season.

They beat the same opponent 4-0 last weekend to win the women’s premier league for the fourth time.

Coach Yusif Basigi and Comfort Owusu were adjudged Best Coach and Best Defender of the tournament respectively whilst Northern Ladies’ Rahama Jafar won the goal queen award with 9 goals to her name.

Evelyn Yeboah of Ampem Darkoa Ladies was crowned the best goalkeeper and her mate, Sonia Opoku won the best player of the season award.

As winners, they took home a giant trophy and a cash prize of GHC30,000.00 .

Ghanaian champions Hasaacas Ladies will be in Abidjan in July this year for WAFU B tournament.
The Sekondi-based side will be joined by the champions from host nation Cote d’Ivoire, Benin Republic, Ghana, Niger, Nigeria and Burkina Faso for the tournament which will run from 15-30 July, 2021.

The tournament will serve as qualifier for the maiden CAF  Women’s Champions League with the two finalists qualifying  to represent the zone.
