Former Hearts of Oak midfielder Daniel Kodie has officially joined the club’s senior coaching setup following his departure from the youth side, Auroras.
The club confirmed his promotion on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, stating that Kodie will now serve as Assistant Welfare Manager to Henry Martey, continuing his long-standing association with the Phobians.
Kodie, who signed for Hearts of Oak from Liberty Professionals, saw his playing career sadly cut short by injury. In a show of loyalty and support, the club funded his surgery in South Africa and took care of all medical and recovery expenses.
After recovering, Kodie transitioned into a new role with Auroras FC, where he worked as an Assistant Welfare Manager. During his time there, he went beyond his primary duties by assisting the technical team, offering valuable tactical insights and helping to nurture the club’s young talents.
“His promotion to the senior team is a reflection of his dedication, professionalism, and deep-rooted connection to the club’s philosophy,” the club noted in its official statement. “As he takes up his new role, Kodie is expected to bring the same commitment and passion that have defined his time at Hearts of Oak.”
Kodie has already begun his duties at the Pobiman training grounds, where Hearts of Oak are currently preparing for the 2025/26 football season.
