Founder of Prayer Palace International, Prophet Emmanuel Adjei has given some characteristics individuals should look out for when seeking out a true prophet.

The man of God believes that it is possible to detect who a true man of God is and who is not by simply being observant.

In an interview with Rev Nyansa Boakwa on Happy 98.9 FM’s NsemPii, he said, “Certain things the so-called man of God will say or do should show that he or she is not from God”.

“The aura around him, the way the person carries himself, pride and arrogance. If the person always wants to prove a point and show everyone that he is above all authority, not giving reference to God in everything he does and making people believe he is responsible for all the miracles. These are all signs that the person is not from God”, he mentioned.

According to the prophet, “a true prophet must and will always give Glory to God because he recognizes that the power over him was given to him by God and for that, gives regard to God”.

He advised listeners to be careful when choosing men of God because “when they start using statements that make it look like they are the ones causing the change and miracles to happen. When everything they say is directed to their abilities, then you should be careful because they are not from God”.

He stated that even though it is not entirely wrong to claim ownership of the miracle because God actually grants power to his children.

He, however, stated that “but when he takes the glory for what God has done you must be careful because all the Glory belongs to God”.

He admitted that some of these men of God get overwhelmed by the praises showered on them by their congregation. “But that should not be the case. God should always receive the recognition for what he does.
