Upcoming Ghanaian musician, Ranny Praps of duo, DCity Music, has commented that he is not impressed with the outreach of the ‘Year of Return’.
Talking to Foster Romanus on the Late Nite Celebrity Show, he asserted that the industry players are not doing enough to push the Year of Return initiative and he, personally is not impressed with it because he believes the government could have done more.
‘’The most talked-about event in the country right now is afro nation and it’s not organized by Ghanaians so at the end of the day, the money is going outside Ghana. There is not enough education about Year of Return on the streets but we shouldn’t focus only on making money from the events’’.
Ranny Praps advised that we should make more of the Year of Return initiative than just having Ghanaian celebrities living outside the country, return to Ghana for performances or tour.
