I believe securing a parliamentary seat is the best way to preserve the nkrumaist tradition- Samia Nkrumah

Former Member of Parliament for Jomoro Constituency, Samia Nkrumah, says her decision to turn down an offer to become the New Force Movement running mate is because of her interest in Jomoro constituency affairs, after the Leader of the New Force Nana Kwame Bediako proposed a desired partnership between them.

According to her, she has invested so much time and resources to regain the seat as Member of Parliament hence her decision to turn down the offer, “Yes, Cheddar reached out, but I told him that I had invested too much in Jomoro. I believe Nkrumah’s tradition must be represented in Parliament in that decision-making body. Because as it is today, it is not with that clarity and conviction, so yes, I have invested too much, and I think I want to see that happen.”

Samia Nkrumah explained that, though she believes the New Force Movement’s vision aligns with the vision of Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, she is optimistic that, the best way to continue the Nkurmaist tradition is securing a seat in Ghana’s Parliament.
