Gov't initiates audit of frequency Authorisations to recover state resources

Member of Parliament for the Ningo-Prampram constituency, Sam Nartey George has expressed his gratitude and readiness to serve upon being nominated as Minister for Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations designate by President John Mahama.

Mr. George expressed optimism on this new chapter of leadership on his X page, indicating his readiness to serve.

He shared his plan of initiating a resetting program once he is approved by Parliament. “I pledge myself to discharge this duty to the satisfaction of the Ghanaian people and admiration of His Excellency. Subject to the required Parliamentary approval, I commit to undertake a reset of our communications sector and position Ghana once again as a leader in digital technology that serves the people of Ghana.”

He emphasized the importance of collaboration and feedback from Ghanaians to aid him achieve this initiative to bring the needed innovation into the sector. “I count on you all for constructive feedback to enable me achieve the needed changes and introduce the needed innovation into the sector. I would not fail you in my service to you. My doors are always open.”

“Once again, my gratitude to God Almighty, H.E. John Dramani Mahama, the wonderful people of Ningo-Prampram and my beloved family. Ghana goes truly digital. Get ready!”
