Award-winning Ghanaian actor, Psalm Adjetefio popularly known as ‘T.T’, and best known for being the lead character in the Ghanaian TV series ‘Taxi Driver’ has confirmed that he never abandoned his children unlike rumours have it.

According to him, he only gave them space due to what was going on between their mother and himself.

“I never abandoned the children, it was their mother I had an issue with and I was trying to avoid her. In a quest to do so, it affected the children also,” he said.

In an interview with Kwabena Boafo on Happy 98.9 FM’s Obra Yi’s Edition of NsemPii, he said, “I only felt guilty because I was not present in their lives as they needed and as I also wanted because of the relationship I had with their mother.”

He described the kind of relationship he had with his children as very strong. Hence, why he was badly affected by his separation from them.

“My children and I were so close. We sat and ate together and their mother even complained. But all that was lost after my wife and I separated,” he emphasized.

He furthered that he did not abandon the children on purpose but, he only wanted to be free and that was the only way to get the freedom he wanted.

The veteran artiste however disclosed that “Although I was not around, I was performing all my roles and my duties as a father and they can attest to it.”

Prior to this interview, the actor had earlier mentioned in another interview that he abandoned his children and was seen pleading for their forgiveness.
