Music Producer Edward Nana Poku Osei popular known as Hammer who played a very integral part in the advent of Hiplife in Ghana has ventured into the business of bread selling.
After years of cooking good beats to satisfy music lovers, he is now selling bread to satisfy hunger.
Hammer lauded the owner of the A1 bread, Godfred Obeng Boateng and said he partnered with him to expand the bread business from Kumasi to Accra.
“He has done well for himself in Kumasi through the A1 Bread. I discussed with him the prospects of the business and he gave me a task to ensure that A1 thrives in Accra. I’ve been doing that since 2017”, Hammer said.
He further disclosed that some of the young men hawking the bread on the streets of Accra are rappers accumulating money to fund their music careers.
“You would be surprised to know that most of the people selling on the streets are my rappers. They are people who worry me with their demos. And I can tell you that they are making a lot of money now.”
Enthused about his new found love, he stated that
“I am making more money by selling A1 bread more than I do in music.”
Hammer is the founder and CEO of the ‘Last Two Music Group’.
He is also known for grooming some industry greats like Obrafuor, Tinny, Sarkodie, Edem and many others.
