Ghanaian musician and media personality, Belinda Nana Ekua Amoah, popularly known as Mzbel has stated that rumours claiming she snatched her alleged friend’s lover is false.
According to Mzbel, she was never friends with Nana Aba in the first place to talk about snatching her boyfriend.
The musician, when asked in an interview with Happy 98.9 FM’s DJ Advicer if rumours about her snatching her friend at the time, Nana Aba’s boyfriend was true, she replied, “Nana Aba was never my friend. We were never close.”
“People were saying she was my friend and I took her boyfriend. But we have never been friends and I have never snatched her boyfriend.”
The controversial musician indicated that even if she dated Nana Aba’s ex or snatched her boyfriend, they were never friends in the first place.
Mzbel noted that she never knew Nana Aba and her (Mzbel) boyfriend at the time had dated until she personally told her. “Nana Aba invited me to her show and on my way home she told me we had someone in common.”
On her authority, she received confirmation from the guy after Nana Aba sent her the text. “The guy explained it to me and I was cool with it.”
“I never knew they dated. And even if she was my friend and we dated the same guy, there was nothing wrong with it. She’s not my friend or family member. And even if she was, it wouldn’t have been a problem,” she reiterated.
