President John Dramani Mahama has pledged to resolve Ghana’s economic crisis before the end of his four-year term.

In his first State of the Nation Address of his second term, delivered to Parliament on Thursday, February 27, he acknowledged the country’s economic difficulties but assured Ghanaians that his administration would restore growth and prosperity.

“I John Dramanai Mahama will fix the economic crisis confronting our country and reset it on a path of growth and prosperity. The state of the nation is not good. Our economy is in crisis, and the people of Ghana are suffering unprecedented hardships” the president said.

According to the president, it is not his style to lament and shift blame and will not lament, although there is much to lament about.

“My style is not to lament and shift blames; I’ll work hard to resolve challenges. My approach is to accept challenges and work hard to resolve them. Indeed, this is precisely what the people of Ghana elected me to do” he added.

He disclosed that he will do exactly what he was elected to do and work hard to resolve the country’s challenges.
