Minister for Government Communications, Felix Ofosu Kwakye has dismissed claims that president John Dramani Mahama is looking for reasons to sack Inspector General of Police, Dr. George Akuffo Dampare.
According to him, the President doesn’t need a reason to replace Dr. Dampare as the Inspector General of Police and urged Ghanaians to dismiss the propaganda.
Felix Ofosu Kwakye stated that the President can change him on the basis that he is not the best person to carry out the reforms he wants in the police service and will not have to wait for him to commit a crime before replacing him.
“President Mahama is not waiting for IGP Dampare to commit before he replaces him with a different person.”
“He can replace him because he won’t be the best person to lead the Police the way he the president wants or carry out the necessary reforms,” Felix Ofosu Kwakye.
