The Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Christian Tetteh Yohuno has promoted five police officers for their role in the arrest of suspects involved in the robbery attack at the GOIL Filling Station at Kwafokrom near Nsawam in the Eastern Region.
In a statement released by the Ghana Police Service, the officers were identified as Chief Inspector Eric Otoo, Chief Inspector Emmanuel Otu, General Sergeant Philip Amoah, Policewoman Constable Victoria Asiedu, and Policewoman Constable Rosemond A. Frimpong.
The statement said Chief Inspectors Eric Otoo and Emmanuel Otu have been granted direct entry to the Police Academy as part of the reward for their professionalism and dedication.
It added that General Sergeant Philip Amoah, Policewoman Constable Victoria Asiedu, and Policewoman Constable Rosemond A. Frimpong have also been promoted to their next ranks.
The officers were recognised for their swift response and commitment to duty, which led to the arrest of two suspects linked to the robbery attack at the filling station.
The IGP together with members of the Police Management Board (POMAB) commended the officers for their outstanding service and reaffirmed the Police Service’s commitment to combating violent crime and protecting lives and property across the country.
