Founder of the New Force Movement, Nana Kwame Bediako, popularly known as “Cheddar,” has reiterated his stance as a leader rather than a politician.

Paying a courtesy call to the Ghana Journalist Association (GJA) on Tuesday, February 6, Cheddar emphasized the distinction between a politician and a leader,

He indicated, “I want you to understand that I’m not a politician. I don’t know anything about politics. However, I’m a leader.”

He elaborated on the disparity between the two roles, noting that while politicians typically operate within the confines of election cycles and campaign promises, leaders focus on broader visions aimed at nation-building and empowering future generations.

Cheddar underscored his commitment to prioritizing the development of Ghana and its citizens over political aspirations.

“We’ve realized that a politician works so hard to be elected for whatever next election that is coming. So they can become the next president. But a leader’s priority is to build a generation and a nation. These are my core interests. That’s what I stand for,” he stated.

Addressing skepticism surrounding political promises, Cheddar assured Ghanaians that while he may not offer traditional campaign pledges, he is dedicated to fulfilling a purpose that aligns with the needs of the nation.

“I don’t have promises, but one thing I can assure the nation is that I have a purpose that will suit the citizens of this nation,” he said.

Cheddar further emphasized that The New Force Movement aims to bridge the gap between traditional politics and visionary leadership, focusing on propelling Ghana forward through innovation and inclusive development strategies.
