The Minister for the Interior, Muntaka Mohammed Mubarak has called on Muslims across Ghana to demonstrate the true values of Islam through their actions.

Delivering a special Ramadan message to Muslims on Sunday, March 30, he urged the Muslim community to be exemplary in their conduct, especially during the Eid celebrations and to promote peace and unity in their neighborhoods.

“Let’s show what Islam stands for, not just in what we say, but in what we do and how we do it,” he emphasized.

The Minister encouraged Muslims to extend kindness to their neighbors, regardless of religious affiliation, and to ensure that their celebrations do not disturb the peace of others.

Reflecting on the significance of Ramadan, he stressed the importance of sacrifice, self-discipline, and compassion for the less fortunate.

He noted that the 30-day fasting period serves as a time for spiritual renewal, a moment to deepen faith, and an opportunity to give back to the community.

“During this holy month, we have denied ourselves food and comfort, but we have also given generously to those in need. Let’s not let these acts of kindness end with Ramadan.

Let’s continue to support our communities and promote unity among all Ghanaians,” he urged.

He also took the opportunity to pray for the souls of departed loved ones, including parents, religious leaders, and other community figures who have contributed to the growth and development of the country.

He further expressed gratitude to Allah for the blessings upon the nation and for granting Ghanaians another year to witness the holy month,” he added.

He extended special prayers for the leadership of Ghana, particularly former President John Dramani Mahama, and wished him wisdom and strength in his service to the nation.

On governance and development, the Minister assured the public that every promise made by their leadership would be fulfilled with sincerity and dedication.

He called on the youth to take advantage of opportunities for growth and development and to uphold peace and unity at all times.
