The Ministry of the Interior, working in collaboration with the Diaspora Affairs Office of the President, has announced a temporary suspension of the Ghanaian citizenship application process for historical diasporans.
In a statement issued on Sunday, February 1, the two institutions said the decision is part of a joint initiative to streamline and improve the application process, making it more efficient, accessible, and user-friendly.
They explained that the pause will allow for the necessary refinements to ensure a smoother and more seamless experience when the application process resumes.
The Ministry of the Interior and the Diaspora Affairs Office of the President reaffirmed their commitment to welcoming members of the global African family back home.
The statement further noted that revised timelines and updated guidelines will be communicated through official channels in due course.
