The flag bearer of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has said that being called a liar in his eyes is the not the worst tag to have.

According to the Vice president, his boss, president Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo was labeled a murderer and drug addict by critics during the 2008 and 2012 elections.

Dr. Bawumia while also responding to the question about him being a liar at his media engagement on Sunday, August 25, 2024, said it is better to be tagged as someone who lies than being named as the government official 1 in the Airbus Scandal.

“Ebo asked a question about people calling me a lair and I said to someone that at least I’m not being called a murderer or a drug dealer as my boss was called or even called government official 1.

He added that Ghana has the potential to do what the advance countries are doing but Ghanaians have to believe in themselves that it is possible to do it.
