Once upon a time in the bustling city of Tarkwa, Ghana, a young and ambitious man named Joseph Tetteh Hughes Zutah had a dream—a dream of leading a football club to victory. Little did he know that his passion and determination would lead him on an extraordinary journey with the Medeama Sporting Club.

In 2008, Medeama was a relatively unknown football club competing in Ghana’s third division league. Joseph Zutah, a talented player with an unmatched love for the sport, joined the team as a young midfielder. His dedication and exceptional skills quickly caught the attention of the club’s management and fans alike.

As Joseph continued to showcase his prowess on the field, he grew into a charismatic leader. With his unwavering determination and ability to inspire those around him, he was named the captain of the team. Under his guidance, Medeama began to rise through the ranks, steadily climbing the ladder of Ghanaian football.

Year after year, Joseph led his team with passion and resilience, helping Medeama secure promotions and establish themselves as a formidable force in the Ghanaian football scene. The club’s success attracted attention not only from fans but also from potential sponsors and investors.

Recognizing Joseph’s exceptional leadership qualities and his deep understanding of the club, the Medeama Sporting Club offered him the position of an administrator and eventually, the CEO position. It was a testament to his dedication and the trust the club placed in his abilities. Joseph accepted the role with humility, fully aware of the immense responsibility ahead.

As CEO, Joseph’s primary goal was to guide Medeama to their first-ever Ghana Premier League trophy. He assembled a team of talented players, nurtured the club’s youth academy, and instilled a winning mentality within the organization. Joseph’s strategic decisions and meticulous planning began to bear fruit, and Medeama’s rise to the top of local football seemed inevitable.

Year after year, Medeama improved their performance, securing respectable league finishes and making a name for themselves in national and continental competitions. Joseph’s vision and leadership were instrumental in building a culture of excellence and unity within the club.

Finally, after years of hard work and unwavering dedication, Medeama found themselves at the summit of local football. They clinched their first Ghana Premier League title—an achievement that brought immeasurable joy and pride to the players, staff and fans.

The victory was a testament to Joseph’s remarkable journey—from a young player with a dream to the CEO of a club that had defied the odds. His leadership had not only transformed Medeama Sporting Club but also inspired a generation of young footballers in Tarkwa and beyond.

Joseph Zutah’s story has become legendary, and his name etched in the annals of Ghanaian football history. But for him, the true victory lies not in personal glory, but in the smiles and joy of the Medeama faithful—the fans who had stood by the club through thick and thin.

Being the most decorated player in the team’s history winning the 2013 and 2015 MTN FA Cup and crowning it with the 2023 Ghana Premier league,Joseph Zutah’s name would forever be etched in the annals of Medeama Sporting Club.

His journey from player to captain to CEO is a testament to the extraordinary heights that could be achieved through hard work, perseverance, and a deep love for the beautiful game.
