Hearts of Oak showcased their dominance on home turf, winning against Nsoatreman FC at the Accra Sports Stadium during matchday 2 of the Ghana Premier League.

In a much-anticipated clash, the Phobians clinched a 1-0 victory over Maxwell Konadu’s side, all thanks to Kashala Ramos Wanet’s remarkable strike. The Congolese forward wasted no time, breaking the deadlock just four minutes into the game, showcasing his prowess after a promising preseason with the rainbow boys.

Despite both teams creating numerous goal-scoring opportunities, the match remained thrilling but goalless, and Hearts of Oak emerged as the victors, claiming all three points.

This victory marked a crucial turnaround for the Phobians, who had suffered a disappointing start to the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League season with a narrow loss to Real Tamale United.

Nsoatreman FC had aimed to maintain their winning streak after a convincing 2-0 win against Bechem United, but Hearts of Oak proved to be a formidable opponent. It’s worth noting that Nsoatreman FC was reduced to ten players following Philip Ofori’s red card, which came 35 minutes into the game.
