The Central Regional Transport Officer for the Ghana Private Road Transport Union (GPRTU), Nana Arkoh Ashiro, has urged commercial drivers in Kasoa to embrace the new transport fare reduction set to take effect on Saturday.
Nana Arkoh Ashiro emphasized that the 15% reduction in transport fares resulted from negotiations between the government and transport union leaders.
He explained that the decision was influenced by the recent decrease in fuel prices, a move initiated by the government.
Additionally, he called on market women and spare parts dealers to follow suit by lowering the prices of their goods, aiming to ease economic hardship on ordinary Ghanaians.
