Another blasting operation by Nag Fairmount Constructions Limited, the company handling the Kasoa-Winneba road expansion project, has caused significant damage to properties at Dabenyin, in the Gomoa East District of the Central Region.

The blasting resulted in rock particles of various sizes being propelled onto nearby buildings, leaving behind considerable damage. Among the affected properties are a fully completed 16-bedroom apartment and a two-bedroom apartment still under construction.

Unlike the previous incident at Buduburam, which tragically claimed lives, this latest occurrence recorded no casualties. However, residents are increasingly frustrated by what they perceive as a lack of accountability from authorities.

In an interview with Kwadwo Amoah, one of the affected residents, he reported that all six rooms in his house now have leaking roofs, while his neighbor’s five bedroom house has also suffered significant damage. Despite filing a complaint at the Dominase Police Station, he was directed to report the issue to the National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO) due to the nature of the problem.

Residents are calling for swift intervention and accountability to prevent further incidents and ensure justice is served.
