The Kenyans in Ghana Association (KGA) successfully held its annual Family Fun Day in Accra, Ghana on 9th May 2026 bringing together members of the Kenyan diaspora and their families for a memorable day of camaraderie, culture and celebration. The event organized by the KGA Executive Team with the support of the Kenya High Commission in Ghana, took place at the Kenya High Commission premises in Accra.

The Family Fun Day is an annual gathering designed to strengthen bonds within the Kenyan community in Ghana. It offers an opportunity for Kenyans away from home to reconnect, combat the challenges of diaspora life, foster lasting friendships and simply unwind. This year’s edition was particularly special as it was hosted at the Kenya High Commission, evoking a strong sense of home away from home.

“Hosting this years’ Family Fun Day Games at the Mission is a joy for us. Seeing Kenyans come together in such a joyous atmosphere reaffirms the strong bonds between us as a community. As we continue to nurture this spirit of collaboration even away from home, I  am confident that we will continue to flourish and fly the Kenyan flag even higher,” he stated.

Emma Wenani, Chairperson of the Kenyans in Ghana Association, expressed profound gratitude to the Kenya High Commissioner and his team for their unwavering support to the Kenyan diaspora. In her speech, she stated: “We are immensely thankful to the Kenya High Commission for their continued partnership. As Kenyans in Ghana, we must continue to strive together as one community, both in our professional and personal lives, while upholding the dignity and values of our nation.”
