The Keta Municipal Chief Executive, Emmanuel Gemegah’s private building has been partly demolished by unidentified men at Adzido-Aflasco in the Volta Region.

According to reports, the unidentified men were armed when they stormed the private property of the MCE with bulldozers.

While the intention of the demolition remains unclear, a similar issue happened in October 2024 when the youth stormed the residence of the MCE and wrote “stop work” on the building claiming the structure being put up by the MCE was illegal because the land is reserved for the construction of a stadium at Keta.

The youth argued that because there are unresolved issues surrounding Keta reclaimed lands, the matter is before the sogakope high court but the MCE and other developers have ignored it.

It is also believed that the MCE had giving out some of the land to private developers.

The intervention of the police stopped the armed men who invaded the area on Sunday, December 29, 2024.
