President of Amidaus Professional Football Club, Baba Gedo has called for the dismissal of the former Executive Member of the Ghana Football Association, Kofi Manu from the newly formed 7-member committee to review the Normalisation Committee Statute proposals.

Mr. Gedo described the former Vice Chairman of the dissolved Ghana Football Association Player Status Committee as corrupt, referring to the Anas Aremeyaw Anas ‘Number 12’ documentary that revealed corrupt practices of some Ghana Football Association top officials.

He expressed his disappointment after the former GFA executive member was appointed on the 7-member committee set up by the club administrators to review the GFA Normalisation Committee Statutes proposals.

He stated emphatically that Kofi Manu, popularly known as Blue Boy must clear himself in the law court in preliminary to his corrupt act which was captured in the “Number 12” expose.

Baba Gedo insisted that the former executive member should be dismissed from the committee since he is not relevant at the moment, quashing the fact that he is knowledgeable in football administration. He added that Kofi Manu is not the only astute football administrator in the country.

“I am surprised that someone who has been captured on tape receiving a bribe and has not been to any court to clear himself of such misconduct. Kofi Manu was captured in the Anas Aremeyaw Anas “Number 12″ expose and all Ghanaians saw it. He is not the only person we know in Ghana who is knowledgeable in football management. He should never be on the committee.”

He cautioned the experienced Kofi Manu to be mute until he clears himself in the law court.

Baba Gedo disclosed that Nana Yaw Amponsah, owner of Phar Rangers Football Club is his favourite candidate for the Ghana Football Association presidency.
