Kotoko board member implores supporters to contribute to team’s Progress

Board member of Ghana Premier League Giants Asante Kotoko, Mr Joseph Yaw Adu has hailed the club’s supporters for their unflinching support even when the club was going through difficult times.

Mr Joseph Yaw Adu, who is a former sports directors of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) was appointed as part of a nine member board of directors of Kotoko to steer the affairs of the club for the next three years.

The Board of Directors which will be led by Dr Kwame Kyei as chairman of the board were inaugurated on Tuesday, June 9 2020 at the Sports Hotel in Kumasi and have been given a number of set targets to achieve before their mandate ends.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with Kumasi based YFM, Mr Joseph Yaw Adu highly commended the supporters of the club, calling on them to contribute meaningfully towards the development of the team

“Kotoko fans, I salute them all because they have been following the club during difficult times and they are still following.

“Even yesterday, when we were being inaugurated, they came there in their numbers.

“We want them to continue supporting the team and also, contribute meaningfully for the betterment of the club”. He said

The nine member board of directors have been given a number of targets including but not limited to making the team competitive while ensuring, the club’s brand remains a viable entity in the commercial space.
