One person, Muniru Muhammad, has been arrested for participating in the violent disturbance at a voter registration center in Kukuom on May 11, 2024.

The disturbance was a result of clashes between supporters of the New Patriotic Party and the National Democratic Congress, leading to the arrest of the Member of Parliament for Asutifi South, Collins Dauda, who was subsequently released.

The NDC, through its National Communications Officer, Sammy Gyamfi, condemned the legislator’s arrest and insisted that Collins Dauda committed no crime.
The police are still investigating the incident and plan to arrest more suspects involved in the violence.
