The highly anticipated Ladies in Media Awards 2024 is set to take place with a renewed focus on impact, representation, and empowerment. This year’s theme, “The Power of Representation”, underscores the importance of diverse voices in media and the influence they have in shaping narratives across Africa.

The awards, which celebrate outstanding women in the media industry, will feature a lineup of impact-driven events, including

Ladies in Media Summit – A gathering of top media personalities, thought leaders, and young professionals to discuss representation, mentorship, and breaking barriers in the industry.

One Book One Child – A commitment to fostering literacy by donating books to children in underserved communities, ensuring the next generation has access to knowledge and inspiration.

This year, the main awards will be held virtually, allowing media professionals and audiences from across Africa and beyond to join in and celebrate the winners in real time.

Our goal is to move beyond just recognizing talent, we want to drive real impact and change. Representation matters, and through these events, we are not only amplifying voices but also ensuring that young people see themselves reflected in the industry,” said Margaret Akua Barden Executive Director of Ladies in Media Awards.

Audiences are encouraged to participate by voting for their favorite nominees at www.ladiesinmedia.org and donating books at www.onebookonechild.com to support the literacy campaign.
