The former Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Ejisu-Juaben in the Ashanti Region, Afrifa Yamoah Ponkoh has criticized the media for repeatedly talking about a leaked tape involving Minister of National Security, Albert Kan-Dapaah.

Speaking in an interview on Happy FM’s Epa Hoa Daben the outspoken member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) asserted that, the video was baseless and does not deserve the traction it is getting.

“I never liked the video when it came up. It is useless and baseless and Kan-Dapaah doesn’t deserve the treatment he is getting from the media. It is high time we stop and focus on more relevant issues,” he told host Afrifa-Mensah.

Yamoah Ponkoh added that, the focus should be on the issues of corruption and the various problems we are facing as a country rather than on such an irrelevant video. “We shouldn’t waste time on the video. There are importance things we should focus on for the development of Ghana.”

National Security Minister Albert Kan Dapaah was seen in a conversation with an unidentified woman which has hit the internet with a buzz.

The lady, who allegedly recorded the video, kept instructing the minister to show his face properly in the video so she could leave no one in doubt that it was indeed Albert Kan-Dapaah.
