A tragic incident has occurred at the Gambaga College of Education in the North East Region, where a Level 400 student was shot and killed by unidentified assailants.
The incident, which happened on March 13, 2025, has led to the suspension of classes at the college.
The school authorities confirmed that the student was discovered with gunshot wounds outside the campus fence.
While the motive behind the attack is still unclear, there are suspicions that it might be related to the ongoing violence in Bawku.
The police have been notified, and the Principal of the school has been summoned by the Gambaga Chief’s Palace for further discussions on the matter.
