Executive Director of Salt and Light Ministries, Rev. Dr. Joyce Rosalind Aryee, has urged that people endeavor to take the right path in getting things done, as life does not offer shortcuts.

In an interview with YFM’s Rev. Erskine on the Y-LeaderboardSeries, a segment on the Myd-Morning Radio Show, she commented that she does not believe in shortcuts when it comes to solving problems because they will not work.

Auntie Joyce said, “Life does not offer us shortcuts. When you wake up in the morning, you have to wait till night. Of course, you can fall asleep at 10am but the night will come.

She opined that when one wakes up in the morning, we have about 12-14 hours before the night comes and to her, that is nature’s way of telling us that shortcuts don’t exist because even if one sleeps again at 10am, the night will still come in its own time.

“I always tell people, look at the corn. It is just one seed that you plant and when it went into the ground, it didn’t sprout immediately. It took time and struggle with the worms and the little stones in the ground.

If it’s growing in Ghana, you will also have to deal with the chickens and the goats, not to mention the fall armyworms but think of the joy when out of that little one comes a whole plant with not just one but a lot of fruits”, Dr. Aryee added.

In accordance to this, she advised that, the best things come out of time and a lot of effort, combined with the ability to wait, thus, people should stop looking for shortcuts to solving problems and take time, so that they can have the best results.
