Former First Lady, Lordina Mahama through the Lordina foundation, donated 120 sewing machines and 100 hair dryers to dressmakers and hairdressers at Nkoranza in the Nkoranza North District of the Bono East Region.
The donation aims to equip women artisans with essential sophisticated equipment to facilitate their work and reduce their financial burden.
Addressing the beneficiaries, Mrs Lordina Mahama entreated the artisans to be dedicated and committed to their work and maintain high levels of customer service.
She also shared NDC’s proposed Apprenticeship Program and the National women Development Bank designed to support traders, artisans and small scale enterprises to empower women and promote economic growth.
