Ahead of the start of the English Premier League New Season, a whopping five thousand (5000) Fantasy League enthusiasts have joined the exciting Global Media Alliance Broadcasting Company (GMABC)- Happy FM, Y 107.9FM, Y97.9FM, Y102.5FM and e.TV Ghana, Fantasy League.

To be part of this exciting football adventure, before the Premiere League begins tomorrow, 9th August, log on to fantasy.premierleague.com and join the GMABC Fantasy Premier League (FPL) with code ZVT3PJ and stand a chance of winning amazing monthly prizes of football Jerseys of choice, Mobile Phones, Gift Vouchers and a Grand Prize of an all-expenses paid trip to Sao Tome.

Once you have signed up, FPL managers have a budget of £100.0m to spend on an initial squad of fifteen (15) players. A squad consists of two (2) goalkeepers, five (5) defenders, five (5) midfielders and three (3) forwards. A maximum of three (3) players can be chosen from any one Premier League club. Managers must choose a starting eleven (11) from their fifteen (15)-man squad before each Game week deadline.
Any formation can be chosen as long as the line-up includes one (1) goalkeeper, at least three (3) defenders, at least two (2) midfielders and at least one (1) forward. The deadline is always one (1) hour before the kick-off time of the first match of the game week.

Points are awarded to players for goals, assists, saves and clean sheets. Players can also earn additional bonus points if they are among the top performers in the Bonus Points System (BPS) in a match. An FPL team’s points for the Game week will be scored by their (11) starting players.
But if a starting player does not feature for their club, the points scored by the first player on your bench will automatically be counted.

Weekly updates will be done on ‘Y Sports Update’ across the Y Triangle in Accra, Kumasi and Takoradi at 8:00am. On Happy FM’s ‘Anopa Bosuo’ sports every weekday between 6:00am to 10:00am. Viewers can also watch the ratings live on e.TV Ghana’s ‘The Team’ every weekday at 12 noon.

The Fantasy League is a virtual game in which participants, who act as coaches, assemble a virtual team of real life footballers and score points based on those players’ actual statistical performance or their perceived contribution on the field of play.
