GFD urges Mahama to focus on persons with disability

Former President and Flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama has called on Ghanaians to support him and his running mate, Prof. Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, in the upcoming December 2024 elections. He criticized the current NPP government as corrupt, greedy, and arrogant, urging voters to choose change to restore the dignity and honor of the presidency.

In an X post on Wednesday July 10, 2024, Mr. Mahama expressed optimism that voters will trust him to address the nation’s challenges and move towards prosperity. He emphasized his commitment to creating jobs, revitalizing the economy, and supporting women entrepreneurs through initiatives like establishing a National Women’s Bank. Mahama highlighted December 7th as a pivotal day for Ghanaians to vote for resetting the country and achieving economic recovery.


“On 7th December, I will need your vote to RESET our beloved country, Ghana, fix the broken economy, create decent and well-paying jobs for the youth through the 24-hour economy initiative and establish a National Women’s Bank to provide financial assistance to one million women businesses,” he wrote.
He emphasized the importance of Ghanaians’ votes to support the investigation and punishment of corrupt NPP officials who have exploited taxpayers, advocated for the removal of COVID and E-levies, proposed the abolition of ex-gratia payments, and suggested a significant reduction in government size to a maximum of sixty ministers. He urged voters to elect Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang and himself to bring back dignity, humility, vision, and experience to the presidency.
