Mahama is 'blockheaded' – Wontumi

The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) Bernard Antwi-Boasiako has described the former President John Dramani Mahama as ‘blockheaded’.
Chairman Wontumi said Mr Mahama knows next to nothing when it comes to the root of vigilantism. Mr Mahama is said to have condemned nefarious activities by NPP vigilante groups blaming NPP bigwigs of being the cause of rise in vigilantism.
But speaking with Kwame Adinkrah on Abusua Nkommo, Chairman Wontumi further described the Former President as a hypocrite who refused to stop vigilantism during his term.
According to him, Mr Mahama can only be remembered for ‘Dumsor’ and stealing from the national purse. He claimed the Former President is suffering form ‘kporkpor biribiri’ hence his rant on national issues after losing the 2016 elections.
‘John Mahama is daft, I tell you he is block headed when it comes to vigilantism, vigilantism started during Nkrumah time. His daftness surpasses anyone in Ghana, he can only be remembered for looting from the State coffers… NDC members were incited to fight boot for boot with members of other political parties during erstwhile Mahama administration. Were we not in Ghana when some of their members insulted High Court Judges?.
‘Somebody who was given an opportunity to lead Ghana swore to lose elections if he reinstates nurses and midwives allowances, that person was John Mahama, he couldn’t rule the country and now he is whining, what are you are whining about?,’ he asked.
The Regional Chairman observed that Ghanaians are now living in a new Ghana where good policies have been put in place to change the fortunes of the country.
He said the former President is jealous of Nana Addo’s 10 months achievements in office describing it as ‘historical performance’.
He claimed the former President has disappointed his own party NDC members citing the Prof. Kwesi Botchway’s report which indicts him of neglecting the party’s founder J.J Rawlings’ group and late President Prof. Atta Mills’ boys during the electioneering. Chairman Wontumi asserted that Mr Mahama will be booted out of the NDC primaries if he dares contest.
‘The NDC is in a sorry state now, let me tell you this, Mahama can never return to compete in the 2020 presidential race. NDC delegates will not vote for him during their primaries. I am telling you today, Mahama will lose in the primaries. He will be defeated, Mahama is contemplating as to contest in the NDC elections or not.
‘He just wants to save the money he has than to be disgraced by his own party members. Mahama will never return to Ghanaian politics. He is not going to survive even in NDC,’ he claimed.
He stated that he has a copy of Kwesi Botchway’s report adding that its never true the information is ‘classified’. The Former President was woefully defeated by the President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo in the 2016 general elections.
