The running mate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, has indicated that the party’s flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama, has prioritized the financial security and independence of all Ghanaian women as a pivotal agenda in the next NDC administration.

Her remarks were made at the commencement of her three-day campaign tour of the Western Region, addressing traders and supporters at the Tarkwa market in the Tarkwa-Nsuaem constituency.

She noted that Mahama’s plan to help women in Ghana will be established through a Women’s Development Bank. “Mr. Mahama is a person you can trust. He respects women, the vulnerable, and Ghanaians at large, and I urge all to have faith in him to deliver on his promises when elected to lead the country in the upcoming December 7 general elections,” she said.

Professor Opoku-Agyemang emphasized the need for comprehensive development in Tarkwa and the Tarkwa-Nsuaem constituency of the Western Region, an initiative she noted the ruling government has failed to undertake.

Prof. Opoku-Agyemang urged constituents to change their voting pattern in the upcoming general elections by voting for the party’s flagbearer, Mr. John Dramani Mahama, and give the NDC’s parliamentary candidate, Sheikh Issah Taylor, a chance to bring development to the area.
