The Member of Parliament for the North Dayi constituency, Joycelyn Tetteh, has assured the public that the Majority in Parliament will not become complacent due to their significant numbers but will instead work diligently for the benefit of Ghanaians who entrusted them with their votes in the 2024 elections.

Speaking with Bismark Brown on Happy98.9FM’s Epa Hoa Daben show, Joycelyn Tetteh stated that the 9th Parliament, with its strengthened National Democratic Congress (NDC) representation, will have an opportunity to perform better than the 8th Parliament, which was characterized by confusion and disruptions due to the nature of its composition.

She emphasized that the NDC Majority will not take their numbers for granted. Instead, they will seize the opportunity to work hard and meet the expectations of Ghanaians. She noted that the electorate voted not simply to see a majority of NDC members in Parliament but because they trust the party to fulfill its promises.

“We are not relaxed, if i sit here and say we are relaxed then it means we have already failed Ghanaians. So we will still put in that zeal, we’re still serious with our work, we will get to Parliament and about 99% of majority Mp’s are already seated waiting for the Speaker. It’s about seriousness, we are not there just because Ghanaians want to see alot of NDC people in parliament, we are there because they trust us and and they know we are going to deliver,” she said.

Joycelyn Tetteh stressed that the NDC will take its responsibility seriously and avoid any form of arrogance stemming from their numbers, focusing instead on delivering results for the people.
