Manasseh Azure has no respect -Lawyer Maurice Ampaw

Lawyer Maurice Ampaw has referred to Investigative Journalist and media personality, Manasseh Azure as disrespectful, citing his remarks about the Akuffo-Addo led government.

Lawyer Ampaw called on the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) to leave Manasseh Azure for him to deal with. ‘’Manasseh Azure has no respect for the president. He is bent on provoking and insulting the president” he said to Kwame Afrifa Mensah on Happy FM’s ‘Epa Hoa Daben’ political show.

Lawyer Ampaw made reference to Manasseh Azure’s post on Facebook where he wrote: “I agree with President Akufo-Addo’s assertion that more had to be done in the GYEEDA case, but if he was bold to call Mahama’s fight against corruption a sham, then he should not take offense when Ghanaians think his efforts in fighting corruption are shambolic.”

He stressed that Manasseh Azure has shown disrespect to the Ghana Bar Association (GBA) for questioning their decision to invite the president to speak on issues of corruption.

Manasseh Azure posted what he titled ‘’Dear Lawyer attending the Bar Conference in Takoradi,’’ on 9th of September, 2019 and ended the piece with a call on the lawyers to listen to the president’s anti-corruption sermon with cotton wool in both ears.

‘’There’s a lot to say, but let’s leave it here. This is meant to be just a “Deception Alert” from a concerned friend of the “learned”. Share it, and encourage your colleagues to listen to the president’s anti-corruption sermon with cotton wool in both ears. Scientists say it prevents political flue’’ Manasseh Azure’s statement said.
