Interior Ministry extends aptitude test dates for 2025/26 recruitment

The Ministry of the Interior has announced an extension of the aptitude test dates for Category C (WASSCE) applicants in the ongoing 2025/26 recruitment exercise, following challenges experienced by some candidates while submitting their tests online.

In a statement, the Ministry said the extension aims to ensure that all applicants are fairly attended to.

The mop-up exercise for Category C applicants will run from Saturday, 21st February to Tuesday, 28th February 2026, organised in service-based lots as follows:
1. Sat, 21st – Mon, 23rd Feb: Immigration (GIS)
2. ⁠Tue, 24th – Wed, 25th Feb: Ghana Police Service
3. ⁠Thursday, 26th – Sat, 28th Feb: Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) & Prisons Service

A general mop-up for all categories (A to C) will follow between Sunday, 1st March and Tuesday, 2nd March 2026, with the publication of results scheduled for 4th March 2026.

The Ministry noted that SMS notifications will be sent to all affected applicants, allowing them to log into the e-recruitment portal and retake the test within the scheduled dates.

Applicants who have already completed the test, which accounts for 82% of candidates, will not be able to log in during this period until the results are released.

The Ministry urged all applicants to adhere to the revised schedule to ensure their participation in the recruitment process.
