Communications Director of the Ghana Football Association, Henry Asante Twum has said that mass withdrawal of players is the reason for low turnout in the Black Stars.

8 players on Monday, November 11, 2024, withdrew from the Black Stars camp for various reasons leading to only few players training with the technical team.

Henry Asante Twum while interacting with the media said they now have to change all their plans because they have 8 players who have withdrawn from the squad.

“The low turnout today is because of the mass withdrawal and what’s why we are not seeing a large number here. We now have to change our plans because new players are now coming in,” Henry Asante Twum said.

Here’s a breakdown of the withdrawals:

* Inaki Williams: Hamstring injury
* Tariq Lamptey: Calf discomfort
* Jonas Adjetey: Injury setback
* Jerome Opoku: Chronic back pain
* Antoine Semenyo: Patella tendon injury
* Alexander Djiku: Hamstring injury
* Ibrahim Osman: Hamstring injury
* Joseph Painstil: Personal reasons
