Moses Armah Parker, the President of Medeama SC, is brimming with confidence as his team prepares to take on DC United in a highly anticipated friendly match.

Ghana’s reigning champions, Medeama SC, have landed on U.S. soil to face off against Major League Soccer outfit, DC United. This clash is a pivotal part of the activities to mark Ghana Week 2023, with football enthusiasts eagerly awaiting the exciting showdown.

Dubbed the “Capital City Cup,” the match is scheduled to kick off at the Audi Field in Washington DC on October 14, 2023, promising a night of thrilling football action.

Danita Johnson, the President of Business Operations at DC United, expressed the club’s excitement at hosting Medeama SC in this friendly encounter, highlighting the significance of such international matches in promoting football.

However, it wasn’t all smooth sailing for the visiting Ghanaian team. Some players from Medeama SC encountered visa challenges, a development that briefly cast doubt over the match’s feasibility. Nonetheless, Moses Armah Parker, the ever-optimistic President of Medeama SC, assured everyone that his team is more than prepared for the showdown.

In an interview on Happy FM,he said, “The boys are ready, despite certain hinderances we are still gearing up for the game and I can promise Ghanaians that Medeama SC are going to emerge victorious and the entire team is poised” With those words, Parker exudes confidence in his squad, sending a clear message that Medeama SC is focused and determined to make the most of this exciting opportunity to compete against a Major League Soccer side.
