The Ministry of Finance (MoF) has called on business associations, professional bodies, financial institutions, civil society groups, faith-based organizations, and the general public to submit inputs for the preparation of Ghana’s 2026–2029 Budget Statement and Economic Policy.
In a statement, the Ministry expressed appreciation for the invaluable contributions of stakeholders over the years in shaping the National Budget and announced that the process for developing the 2026–2029 fiscal plan has begun in earnest. The final document is expected to be presented to Parliament by 15th November 2025.
According to the Ministry, the move forms part of government’s efforts to ensure responsiveness to the needs of citizens, deepen public participation in the budget process, and implement inclusive policies.
Members of the public have been urged to submit their suggestions electronically to bdru@mofep.gov.gh by the close of business on Friday, 29th August 2025.
The Ministry emphasised that broad stakeholder input is vital for crafting policies that promote sustainable economic growth and development.
