The Movement for Change has announced plans to officially unveil its new political party on Thursday, October 16, 2025.

The event, scheduled to take place at the Coconut Grove Hotel in Accra, is expected to attract a number of political leaders and stakeholders from across the country.

The Movement for Change is led by former Minister of Trade and Industry, Alan Kyerematen, who established the group after resigning from the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in September 2023 to contest the 2024 general elections as an independent candidate.

A member of the Movement’s Communications Team, Solomon Owusu, explained that the yet-to-be-named party would be a broad-based centrist national party aimed at uniting Ghanaians and unlocking the nation’s economic potential.

He noted that the new party’s vision is to liberate the energies of every Ghanaian for economic transformation.
