The Inspector-General of Police, has deployed a special team of operational officers and armoured vehicles to Gushegu and Karaga in the Northern Region to strengthen security following recent clashes in the area.
In a statement issued by the Ghana Police Service, it was announced that the deployment is aimed at restoring calm and enhancing security in the affected communities.
The Police said the reinforcement team will work closely with officers of the Northern Regional Police Command to intensify patrols and ensure security in Gushegu, Karaga, and surrounding communities.
The deployment forms part of efforts to maintain law and order and prevent further escalation of tensions in the area.
