The Ashanti Regional Youth Organizer of the main opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has said even though the president Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo issued directives to the Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) and the Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies (MMDAs) to desist from the purchasing brand new vehicles, he (the president) has gone ahead to purchase brand new cross-country Lexus vehicles for his comfort.
Brogya Gyamfi made this disclosure when he appeared as a panelist on the ‘Epa Hoa Daben’ show hosted by Kwame Afrifa-Mensah on Accra-based Happy FM.
According to him, barely a year down the line the president has bought for his luxury brand new Lexus vehicles for his luxury while Ghanaians continue to wallow in poverty.
I was shocked to see brand new Lexus vehicle in the convoy of the president en-route to his Nima residence in the Greater Accra Region the National Youth Organizer aspirant  said on the show.
He claimed that president Akufo-Addo is a dishonest person who does not live up to his utterances as well as his principles.
He said the president must apologize to the good people of the country for misleading them when he assumed the high office of the president.
He added that this is an indication the president is not inn to protect the public purse he claimed ex-president John Dramani Mahama has dissipated while in government.
