The Eastern Regional Communications Director of the ruling New Patriotic Party Mr. David Prah has described His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo the President of the Republic of Ghana as “Ghana’s Political Messiah”.

According to the voice-ferrous New Patriotic Party’s Eastern Regional Communications Director, God brought H. E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo at the opportune time in 2016 when the former President John Mahama and his NDC party have mismanaged the country’s economy through “Thievery and Incompetence”. He stated that the former President Mahama and his NDC party plunged the country into financial ditch and brought hardship to lots of Ghanaians through the introduction of Nuisance Taxes coupled with constant power outages popularly know in Ghana as “Dumsor” which crippled lots of Ghanaian businesses.

Speaking to the Media in Koforidua, Mr. David Prah stated that the Government of H. E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo and the New Partriotic Party have reviewed and abolished all the”nuisance” Taxes that were burdening Ghanaians.

“In fact H. E. President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo is Ghana’s Political Messiah because he has:

a) Abolished, all the nuisance taxes such as the one percent special import levy,

(b) Abolished 17.5 VAT on financial sevices

(c) Abolished 17.5% VAT on selected imported medicines.

(d)  Removed import duties on raw materials and machinery

(e) Abolished 17.5 VAT on domestic airline tickets

(f) Abolished 5% VAT on real estates

(g) Abolished excise duty on petroleum

(h) Reduced special petroluem tax rate from 17.5% to 13%

(i) Abolished duties on importation of spare parts.

(j) Abolished levies imposed on Kayayei’s by local authorities

(k) Replaced the 17.5 VAT on Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE) traders to a flat rate of 3.5 percent

According to Mr. David Prah, H. E. Nana Addo “Ghana’s Political Messiah” is gradually fixing the broken Ghana’s broken economy Mahama left.

He intimated that through prudent economic management of President Nana Addo and his Able Vice President H. E. Alhaji Dr Mahamadu Bawumia, the Ghana’s International trade surplus now stands at over USD 2.2 billion.

 The Eastern Regional Communications Director of NPP emphasised that the Government of Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo has chalked a lot of successes such as the:

Successful implementation of FREE SHS.

Implementation of NABCO

Implementation of Planting for Food and job

Implementation of One District One Fectory

Implementation of Digital Addressing System

Implementation of Mobil Money Interoperability

Bank of Ghana rate reduced from 25.5 in 2016 to 16% in 2018.

Inflation from 15.4% to the current 7.6%, the lowest since 1992.

He mentioned that the Growth of the economy from 3.6% to 8.5% one of the highest in the world according to the data available.

He indicated that Industry has grown from Mahama’s 0.5 to 16.7 under Nana Addo through the implementation of One District One Fectory and tax relief for industry and the Agric Sector under H. E. Nana Addo has seen an 8.4% increase from 2.8% which was witnessed under Mahama.

He said the the government saved over GHC 13 billion deposits of 4.6million depositors through the successful banking sector clean up and paid the inherited GHC 1.2 billion NHIS debt.

Mr David Prah indicated that Ghana’s economy is now on a sound footing and the Government of Nana has set aside 2.3bn to pay the debt owe to road Contractors since 2013.

“Ghanaians will not allow the NDC to come to destroy all the gains we have made so far!” Mr. Prah.

He appealed to the Ghanaians to renew the mandate of the President H. E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo and the New Partriotic Party to continue with their good works to make Ghana a better place for both the current and future generations.
