Nana Kwame Bediako pulls out of IEA presidential Evening Encounter scheduled for today

The Institute of Economic Affairs (IEA) has cancelled its Presidential Evening Encounter with the founder and leader of the New Force Movement, Nana Kwame Bediako scheduled for today Wednesday 18th September, 2024.

The comes after the leader of the New Force Movement, Nana Kwame Bediako pulled out.

He was expected to make an appearance at 5:30 pm but pulled out without a reason.

The Institute of Economic Affairs on 16th September, 2024 released a timetable for its Evening Encounter and Presidential Debate series ahead of the December 7th elections.

The purpose of the Evening Encounter and debate, according to the IEA “is to provide a platform for all Candidates to present their visions, plans, and strategies to the electorate and allow the electorate to ask questions to enable them make informed choices on Election Day”.

Also, the “ IEA expects that these Encounters and Debates will promote constructive political discourse, focused on issues and policies, and thereby help deepen multiparty democracy and good governance in Ghana.”

The first and second round of the Presidential Debate has been scheduled between October 22 and November 19, 2024.
